This week was… incredibly busy, yet exciting. Of course we’re set for the baby. We’ve been for a while, though, but it seems we’re constantly busy cleaning up the house et cetera. Frankly, Eva has been a little busier with the cleaning this week as I’ve hardly been at home. I worked long days this week to finish as many tasks before the baby arrives. Unfortunately this only has the effect that more work piles up: Emails arrive faster than I can answer! Damn!
A few good things that happened at work: on Thursday we had a day for reflection at the open university. The theme was “software architecture” and I got to give a presentation (which can be found here [in Dutch]). The presentation was a big hit, and I’m looking forward to giving it again for management. On Friday, despite having a full agenda, I managed to give a sharp review of an architectural document and make sure that the results of that review are properly managed even if I’m not there because of the baby.
Anyway, now it’s weekend. Time to take it easy, get groceries and so on. First I’m heading into town with Koen to get him a lunchbox. He’ll go to school next week for the first time (just two days to see how he likes it. School won’t start officially for him until November)
