Today is the last day that we’re actually doing work. A bit of a pity since we’re finally getting the hang of things. Eva seems to be particularly in the mood to just rush on. Unfortunately the last 2 days haven’t been so good for me. My back hurt a lot, and I was more tired than I have been in weeks.
Luckily I had “the day off” yesterday, we only did some small chores. Today is a different story; since this is our last day, Eva decided she’d put on the final layer of paint on the projects that we’ve started. I took Koen to daycare and spent the rest of the morning so far figuring out how to put together the desk that I got from Ton (aka Loekie). Well, here it is, I’m sitting in the attic behind the new desk (there’s no electricity here but my laptop has a good enough battery to keep me up for a bit). Man I love my new working spot. We still have a lot of cleaning up to do on the attic, and I think I should put up some blinds but still.. looking forward to studying here a lot.
In a bit we’ll have some coffee and start cleaning up. There’s some more junk that we should toss, vacuum the house, do some cleaning and then enjoy our well earned rest!
All in all I’m pretty happy with what we accomplished. I thought it’d be more when we started out but I guess these things always take longer than you first expect them to. Oh well, more work to do in summer / fall
