A busy (too busy?) week

This week was pretty exciting @ work. A lot of things were planned which required my full attention. On Monday I had a session with our management team (all the team leads) about the mission and vision of softwarehouse (SWH). I chose to approach this as a brainstorm session with a big whiteboard and lots of discussion. In my opinion the session went quite well and we got some good results. A second session is planned, so things are looking up. I’m really glad I can do this project!

Tuesday I presented my work about UseCases (I blogged about that a few weeks ago). The presentation was well received by most and hopefully I can presented for a larger group soon. Presently I’m working on extending the model to include non-functional requirements as well as include a few slides about how UseCases are used in our “ontwikkelstraat” (Borland tools). I’ll get back to that eventually when the presentation is done.

Wednesday, usually my day off, I had to come in to work briefly for another session with management. They agreed that the mission session was going well and gave the green light for continuing the project. Thursday was packed with meetings and Friday I had another sessions at Ordina about architecture. I had to present my / our vision on architecture from the perspective of SWH. Learned some interesting things there so all in all a day well spent.

And now, finally, it’s weekend :-)
