Last weekend Eva was off to visit a friend (Flora). She left Friday afternoon and didn’t get back home untill Sunday. That gave me a chance to do something nice with Koen; just the two of us. I proposed to him that we’d go down south to Tilburg to visit grandpa (opa Cees!). Turns out that that was a pretty good suggestion as he was pretty enthousiastic about the idea.
On Friday Caro picked up Koen from daycare as I was back home late from work. After dinner we watched some TV and got to bed rather early. Big day ahead and all that. On Saturday we did some shopping (groceries) and took the car to Nijmegen where we went to the restaurant where I’m planing to celebrate my promotion on December 8. Turns out that this was no problem, they even had some good suggestions for the party itself. Koen was pretty charming as usual and made a nice drawing for grandpa. Unfortunately he wasn’t in the mood to eat lunch so I had to eat his lunch as well as my own 
:)
The trip to Tilburg went smoothly, Koen slept most of the way. He had a lot of fun in Tilburg playing with grandpa and oma Leonoor. In the evening I went out to see the movie forever about Pere-Lachaise cemetery in Paris. Hans and Lucie also went to this movie. Very good documentary, I can highly recommend it.
On Sunday we woke up relatively late, around 08.00 I really needed that. Breakfast with grandpa, clean up Koen’s toys and then we went fora brief visit at Hans and Lucie’s. Koen received a nice present (wooden jigsaw puzzle) and we all had a nice time chatting and sipping coffee. The way back went smoothly again, there wasn’t much traffic on Sunday. All in all a really nice weekend!
