The eagle has landed…
Yesterday morning, we packed up our stuff and left El Collet. After a (shorter this time…) drive to the airport we brought back the car and went to check in. Gerona has quite a nice airport, so we enjoyed some refreshments and Bas bought an incredibly sweet ladybug-backpack for Koen. Then it was time to fly. The flight went fine, Koen enjoyed watching the clouds from above.
After landing, we were met by the cab company. A mini van brought us back to Tilburg, reuniting Koen with ‘opa Cees!’ and ‘oma Leo!’. We were quite worn out by then, and went to bed really early. Saturday it was time for a birthday-lunch with ‘oma Toos’, an opportunity for Koen to give her the present we bought in Besalu. Unfortunately it started to rain while we were eating but sitting under a parasol enabled us to still stay outside.
Then it was time for the last part of our journey home, a trip by train from Tilburg to Deventer. Koen was exhausted and fell asleep when we were nearly there, he woke up in our own hallway. Desoriented i guess, because he didnt want to leave his buggy…
And now every day life seems to be kicking in already. Groceries done, as well as the first load of holiday-laundry… But it is good to be home again!
